This auction is for the exchange of your throttle body for a ported and polished throttle body.

We require a functioning core for all our work and have two options for your convenience.

 

You can send your original throttle body to us, and upon receipt, I will mail out the ported version 

OR

You can pay us a refundable core deposit of 49$ which will be returned through PayPal after you ship your original throttle body back within 31 days.

 

After payment is received for the eBay auction I will assume you would like to take advantage of the core deposit unless otherwise noted. I will send an invoice through PayPal to that same e-mail address and ship out the item when I receive payment.

When you are looking to improve the efficiency and performance of your engine one of the best ways to envision it is like a big air pump. The more air you can move in and get out the more efficient and powerful your engine will be. The problem is that through every part of your engine there are restrictions that rob that power.

When porting these throttle bodies I focus on removing the restrictions from this part of the engine giving your snappier throttle response and increased power. The first side I focus on is where the air hits coming from the air filter. I make sure that the air doesn’t have to hit a step as in enters the throttle body. On the back side I match the opening to the gasket so it has a perfectly smooth transition into the intake. I also smooth out and sharp steps left by the machining process.

The main increase in flow through the middle of throttle body comes from removing half of the throttle shaft and countersinking the bolts connecting it into plate. By removing this restriction a large increase in flow through the center section is created. Just like installing a high flow air filter or free flowing exhaust this makes more power by allowing the air to flow more easily through the engine.

When all of that work is done we polish the inside surface to a mirror shine by gradually using finer and finer grits so the air doesn’t hit any bumps that would cause turbulence. Finally we sandblast and then paint the throttle body with black ceramic engine paint, masking off the gasket areas for leak free performance and protecting the electrical connectors. People usually report about the same seat of the pants power increase as a cold air intake or free flow exhaust. Your performance gain will also depend on how modified the rest of the car is, it will be cumulative with and other mods you have done. The more you have done the more your throttle body will be a bottle neck and the more opening it up will help. The computer usually takes a bit to adapt to the increased flow just as with any other bolt on modification.
